Yesterday we witnessed something that incredibly rare as the pole who started the match from the bench came on as a sub in HT. Everything else after that is history. He scored his 1^st of the night on 51^st min, and then scored another, then another and another and another. There was no stopping this man as Dante looked in horror.

This transfer window deadline wasn't anything less than surprising. Real Madrid wanted to land Manchester United Goalkeeper David De Gea who was identified as the new Galactico. The deal was almost final and Costa Rica Goalkeeper Keylor Navas had to move into the opposite direction according to deal. 

Keylor Navas revealed this speaking to a Spanish radio station Cadena COPE. 

He was due to board a plane to finalize his deal with Manchester United but the communication between both clubs collapsed which saw both the players to stay at their respective clubs. Further David De Gea signed a four year deal with United.

Navas said " [Deadline day] was one of the worst day of my football career"

"I cried when transfer window closed, near my wife. I'm a human and everything exploded. I was waiting in the airport even without suitcases. I was not on the plane but I was very near."

Navas felt that he was hurt that club was prepared to sign a new goalkeeper to replace him though he hinted he never wanted to leave Real Madrid."

He went on to say, " It was a complicated situation, I wanted to play and to watch how others [De Gea] play above me is difficult to interpret. At 19 CET my agent says me 'you have to take a plane' and i was waiting in a room."

"The contract arrived too late and my agent reviewed it and was correct. I didn't want to go. I did my medicals in the Valdebebas and after that I didn't return to the airport."

"There was no time, then I went home. It was complicated. I arrived home and I started to cry"

He has been brilliant this season so far without conceding a single goal. He also has been awarded by his commitment, he has signed a multi million deal with Adidas and Real Madrid have agreed to improve his contract.

The victory against Saints lifted Manchester United to 2^nd spot in League Table behind Manchester City who are just two points above them after a shocking defeat at Etihad against West Ham United.

After a well earned victory at St. Mary’s Stadium with a scoreline of 2-3, Van Gaal was full of praise and admitted Manchester United can go and win the League.

“We have made a statement that we shall compete for the title.” Van Gaal said in the post match interview. 

“You cannot expect a title from a team in transition. But when we are close, we shall grab it.” 

 

 

Van Gaal also praised the teenage sensation Anthony Martial who has scored 3 goals in just 2 games in the Premier League.

But the Dutchman also warned United fans to not expect the Frenchman to continue in same vein as he is just 19.

“When you are 19, you cannot expect consistency. Emotionally they shall have a lots of dips so that I expect also from him but that is not a big problem for me.”

Cristiano Ronaldo was target of the media a few days ago after going an incredible two games without scoring a goal, would you believe it. Many people even claimed that he is now ageing and would need a replacement soon *cough lol cough*, but in an event you could predict the ending way before, just like a cheesy girly movie, Ronaldo scored.
