David Beckham gives $100K to a Family



David Beckham surprised a Family by changing their lives forever, when he knocked on their door with a cheque of $100,000.

This philanthropic act was part of FOX’s new show Knock Knock Live, in which celebrities feature and surprise someone with concerts, gift or the opportunity to win prizes.

In the closing segment of Tuesday night premier episode, host Ryan Seacrest explained the British football icon is on his way to Gonzales family’s house.

The father of Gonzales family, Victor, was a professional football player in Mexico, but had to give up his dream and take a job in Construction Company to support his family – and they only get to see him once a month because of his work.

Beckham wanted to help the family because his family too came from a working class background, so he wanted to recognize a hard working family similar to his own.

The reaction of the family was priceless when they opened the door to see David Beckham was the one knocking it.

David first gave 7 iPhone sponsored by sprint mobile. He then informed the family that does not have to worry about bills anymore, as they are now well covered for 10 years.

He then gave them the envelope in which there was a cheque for a whopping $100,000, which cued flowing, tears from each family members, and of course the ones who were watching.

Even though the family was overwhelmed, they did not miss the chance to play football with Beckham and dragged him to their backyard.

David Beckham said afterwards: Giving the cheque for $100,000, you can see it means so much to them. You can see it has literally changed their lives.

‘I’m very fortunate in my life, and to be able to do this for the family that works so hard, it’s an amazing feeling.’
