New study shows Raheem Sterling is the most Valuable Young
Talent in Europe!
Liverpool’s
Raheem Sterling has been named the most valuable young talent in Europe,
according to a new study.
The 20-Year old English attacker, whose
future at Anfield has been topic of the transfer window this summer, has been
given a value of £30.05Million (49.3million Euros) by Soccerex 20 U-21 report.
The Soccerex football value index which
takes into account position, age, technical skills, current club, market value
perception, contract length, international caps, minutes played, goals and
injuries.
The report which was recently released named Sterling the
best among his age category. He is some way ahead of second place Brazilian
fullback Marquinhos who was valued at £27.84million
(39.77million euros). Manchester United new boy Memphis Depay clinched third
spot; his value was reported to be £23.8million (33.6
million Euros).
Seventeen of Top Twenty players in the list are European.
Paris-Saint Germain’s Marquinhos, Atletico Madrid’s Uruguay center back Jose
Giminez and Benfica’s Brazilian central midfielder Anderson Talisca as the only
exceptions.
Three more English Player made the Top 20 list – Manchester
United’s fullback Luke Shaw in 9th spot with £17.77million
(25.39million Euros), Everton’s defender John Stones in 16th
(£11.8million, 16.85million Euros) and Arsenal’s Callum Chambers in 19th
(£10.54million, 15.06million Euros).
Soccerex
chief executive Duncan Revie said:”This report demonstrates the hugely talented
pool of players who are under the age of 21 available to our European Clubs.”
“Ultimately, the lifeblood of any successful
club is the players they are able to develop and nurture and the report
identifies the premium that clubs place on this kind of exciting young
players.”
Another interesting result from this report
is there are no less than nine young talents from Premier League who will
feature next season. Kurt Zouma, Hector
Bellerin, Divock Origi and Emre Can.
