So moving on, Denis Cheryshev, another Real Madrid youth product. He played for Real Madrid Castilla from 2009 to 2013 and also trained for with first team in 2012 but unfortunately never got to play for the first team. In 2013-14 season he was loaned to Sevilla FC in order to get first team exposure, he played 4 matches for Sevilla that season. Next season IE last season, Villarreal were interested in him and he was loaned to the Yellow Submarine. He played 26 matches and scored 4 Goals and assisted more than 10 times. After his impressive performance with Villarreal, Rafa wanted to have him at Real Madrid. Basically Cheryshev is a winger and Rafa wants him to be Cristiano Ronaldo's Deputy on the left wing and to be his substitute on the left wing.
Now moving on to the only proper Striker Real Madrid has, Karim Benzema. Former Lyon man joined Real Madrid from Lyon after an impressive overall performance in Ligue 1, Coupe de France and UEFA Champions League. Real Madrid showed interest in him and he signed for them for 35 million Euros, he was presented as a Real Madrid player just after they presented Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009. After joining Real Madrid he has had a very good career, now he is in his seventh season at Real Madrid and has scored 87 goals in 188 appearances. He has moved into top 10 goalscorers of all time for Real Madrid, surpassing Brazilian Ronaldo. This shows how good he is, but he is quite underrated since Real Madrid is filled with so many superstars and sometimes doesn't get the deserved credit. He is not only good at scoring goals but also very good in the linkup play. And probably the only striker except Luis Suarez who fits in the team which has Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo in the attack. His linkup play with Cristiano is very good, he often assists Cristiano and Bale than he scores himself, very unselfish striker. He even tracks back sometimes to defend and presses the opponents so that they panic and misplace the pass. He lacks a bit in finishing according to the Real Madrid standard because Cristiano and Bale are the finishers in the Madrid. But nonetheless he is a very good striker.
