So moving on, Gareth Bale, the Canon Of Wales. Former Southampton man is now one of the best player at Madrid. He had potential, which attracted Tottenham Hotspur scouts, he joined Tottenham Hotspurs and started to play as Leftback initially. Later looking at his blistering pace, he was given a different role, he was deployed as a Left Midfielder. Looking at his abilities he was allowed to play as Left Winger. He turned himself into a typical modern day winger, an Inverted Winger. He excelled into his role very well, especially in his last two seasons at Tottenham. In his last season, under Andre Villas-Boas he got a free role, he could roam wherever he wants. This brought the best in him, initially he used to cut in from the left, in his last season at Tottenham he played more centrally. He was the best player in the Premier League that season, his pace, his Freekicks, his longrangers, his screamers and his assists. Everything about him was so special, with his performances he attracted big clubs attention. He was Ronaldo with a strong left foot. After all the speculations, he said he'd not leave Tottenham if they manages to qualify for Champions League. Despite of so much efforts, on last matchday, they finished fifth, below Arsenal.

Like most of the players, his dream was also to play for Real Madrid. After two months of shrewd negotiations, Daniel Livy agreed to sell Gareth Bale to Real Madrid for record 100 million Euros. There were many speculations of where Bale would play since he and Ronaldo play in same position. Bale was given the role of Right Winger, and was also switched the wings with Cristiano often during the play. Tata Martino labelled bale's transfer amount as a insult, he responded Tata Martino by scoring a solo goal by deceiving Barcelona defender from the middle of the pitch which proved to decisive. He also scored the decisive in the Champions League final against the city Rivals Atletico de Madrid in Lisbon and Real Madrid landed the much awaited 'La Decima' that year. Last season Bale was very poor by his standards but was very good if compared with any of the Premier League top player.
